Why those grown ass men can't clean broken glasses

It's just a trope in Korea, or maybe more like a superstition? You see it in a lot of Korean media that if glass breaks touching it will cut you / you have to clean it with a dustpan. Especially in Romance media it is used to show how the love interest cares about the person's well being. I can't really think of an English equivalent right now but I hope this explains it a little bit.

sorry but we always sweep broken glasses in our household and everywhere else... why would we even try to hand pick those if theres a possibility that the tiniest bit of glass will cut the fuck out of you finger
or if that glass would get stuck on your skin and its hard to remove it (sorry but its just... common sense for us)
