THIS 100% This is why I hate love triangles. I firmly believe if an author is gonna write a love triangle it should only fall into these categories

1) the uke meets both semes at the same time and their is no history or childhood connection

2) the uke ends up with the new seme after moving on from the old seme (hate mate or lucky paradise)

3) the semes end up together instead

4) one of the semes gets a new love interest during the love triangle

because I hate when the 2nd ML is used as a catalyst for the main couple.

there are actually more characters that has the same toxic personality as tj yet still call Jo's character repetitive and boring i rarely see any kind semes in a love triangle nowadays

the whole point of focusing on their relationship was that you could understand why chose the other guy, it was meant to show you your actions have consequences and ultimately toxicity doesn't win regardless of how much sympathy you have for a character.
