I was wondering that too, but maybe she havent seen them herself since their on her back? And she was in her lizard form for a short time
From what I know, since she was poisoned daily by her previous maid which causes her to be a lizard and halted her growth into becoming a true dragon. So maybe the wings in her back is a progress that she's healing from the poison and is developing slowly compared to the rest of her family.
Spoiler alert (the man who adopted her is her biological father, he didn't know because he believed his child died in the womb since his wife passed away when she was about to give birth, so it never occur to him that the child (Ayrin) would still be alive inside the womb until a dragon came to save her and brought her back to Etam where she was fostered by a branch family of the Etam Dukedom, until she was finally adopted by her biological father, who still doesn't know that Ayrin is his true biological daughter but he'll soon find out, I forgot how.)

The Etam family is known for their dragon blood or dragon lineage but they are indeed humans, and so is Ayrin. I remember her choosing to be an immortal so maybe she became a full fledged dragon from that point on.
