*sighs* Why does Alea have to be a girl... After literal years isolated, I think Helmut deserves to make friends before the author forces him into a romance.
I like this so far, but I do find it a bit unfortunate that it's already missing some small details that helped with the future character development.
In the novel, when the FL asked, the system stated that the author of the novel she has been given a second chance in had made a point of foreshadowing the character's futures with seemingly pointless inclusions in the descriptions. Such as the FL suddenly feeling ill and the described headaches and throes of dizziness as a hint towards her later terminal illness. The author hadn't wanted it to be "out of nowhere." which it seems is what this manhua is doing despite that.
In the novel for this adaptation, when the FL enters the classroom for the first time, she is suddenly dizzy and questions the system if that was due to her later diagnosis. (It is.) The reason she so obviously sniffs the ML (here) is that his scent which is slightly medicinal helped calm the aches and pain. Which leads to another detail that this adaptation has left out, why the ML smells medicinal. It may be mentioned later, so I won't going into too much detail, but he often takes vitamins for his insomnia. In the scene when she sits down at her desk for the first time, he wakes up and the first thing he does before even recognizing her is taking a few vitamins.
It's small details but by chapter 30 in the novel and the ML's back story is revealed, you realize why they were included.
Again, I just find it a bit unfortunate, but I will continue to read this as it's a cute story and definitely worth it.
The FL is endearing and steadfast. Someone that once she makes her decision on something is not wishy-washy in the least. It makes her a cool character to read.

Admittedly, I did dislike how Seung was essentially forced into his feelings for Un, but this... The turn-around... This is making me so sad. Poor Un, he tried so hard to be considerate and even opened up his heart for Seung...
The first chapter featured an extra of them celebrating their anniversary, so I know this will all turn out okay. Still right now I'm just This story playing with my emotions like the foreign entities do with our characters.

A theme as old as time in fiction is the idea that the deceased tend to be mythologized. That those greats in our history, our memory, if brought down or returned to earth and fully realized would in fact be just as human as the rest of us: flawed and susceptible to failure. That you should never meet your heroes as your expectations will always be too high.
This comic in a way, and I'm not sure was intentional (though I doubt that too as the theme has been consistently touched on and returned to) subverts that idea. It depicts that sometimes the Hero of legend can have been as great as they were made out to be; that sometimes, if given a second chance, that Hero can be both impossibly human and still succeed that pedestal they had been placed on- and, even further, ascend it.
It's a fun idea, and I like how the author here had written the MC and his story. It would have been too easy to make such a character a mary sue, gary sue, or paragon of good and righteous that fell into an obnoxious caricature.
I have a lot more thoughts on this that are hard to express, but I wanted to share how much I appreciate this comic and its character writing. I truly enjoy overpowered MC, and for all that this story is not exceptionally unique or complicated, it's a refreshing read.
Anyway, can't wait until next week to see the continuation of the MC crushing the rival team's hopes and self esteem.
The pure /disdain/ on Theo's face after Keung snagged a drop of his snack. It was the most cat expression yet, and I couldn't stop laughing.
