it's not that hard to say their names u know. also unfortunately even in the raws they still have an uneven power dynamic on an emotoinal level. (but their relationship is still purely physical). on the bright side there IS someone who likes yeonwoo as is and my hope is he just decides to go have a real relationship with a nice person and leave taehwan in the dust until taehwan can reckon with his internal issues and be honest and vulnerable. cause that is IN him but he's just locked it up. sad.
can we not just call Taehwan "seme" and Yeonwoo "uke"- its stereotyping sm and its not hard to say their names.
My bad. I was typing this fast and had somewhere to go but I want to vent my opinions. Therefore, I thought it would be easier to type seme and uke then to type their names because I don't really remember nor had the time to type their names. I didn't know that seme and uke had negative connotation. I just wanted to voice my frustration and join the chat.
Uke and seme don't have negative connotations related to SM at least, no idea where that came from as it doesn't relate to SM at all? Outside of that some people don't like the terms though for differing personal reasons, but they are actual terms from Japan that BL fans there use to so if you do you. Everyone just wants to type fast sometimes or forgets names lol! (⌒▽⌒)
I agree with chii. I have no idea what the others are having a problem with. Uke and seme are appropriate terms, especially since TH and YW don't switch roles. They're the Japanese terms for top and bottom, and they carried over into English-speaking BL fan culture. Don't worry about what the others said, you didn't do anything wrong.
it seems i need to clarify myself. there is nothing offensive with the words uke and seme or the other terms describing the same thing (tachi and neko) basically they just describe their sexual positions. why i said what i said is, i feel like with alot of BL fans refuse to use names and reduce characters to their sexual positions. they arent just someone who bottoms in bed they are just a Bottom that is their BEING and its very...reductive at best. i wasnt trying to single you out either i know so many people do it and im just rly tired of it. in the case of this comic, the names of the guys are all over the place in the comic, in the comment section, in the summary (well taehwan's name is) on the main page like...i guess if u forgot the names and were in a rush then its ok i wasnt trying to shame u i just feel like alot of people say "oh i didnt know/forgot" and its like...is that hard to recall the names of characters in a story u presumably read every week and talk about to other people? idk. again its not specifically You alone who does this and u didnt say like slurs or anything. i just dont like how guys get reduced to who takes the dick and who doesnt being now the descriptor for their entire personality cause it means noooothiiing. except in BL which is oftentimes just porn. to be fair to BS i think its trying to tell a story, a love story and also a story about day to day life for these korean exchange students living abroad. but yeah some of the same i guess biases lets say bleed into how people interpret the comic, what pov they read it thru because alot of BL is just glorified dumb porn that /does/ reduce charas down to sex roles cause the entire purpose of the story is mainly the sex. but ahem, thi sis getting long so ill cut it here.

I saw some people in the comment section saying that they feel bad for Jaehan and they hope seme (Heegyum, I think lol) does not get revenge on him and they hope they get back together which I hope to. However,

personally i am adoring jaehan's development but there isn't much development of his relationship with heegyum, people forget that heegyum most likely forced him back at that party, u can hate/love jaehan because it's all from his pov but we've never known much of heegyum's. so yea i think it's more than revenge. it's definitely not revenge on his part.
