I loved the manga and the setting of the story but now that I am reading the novel it's very frustrating to read. Everyone is absolutely self centred and just plain stupid. It's irritating to read.
Does the manga follows the novel or it's different?
For now it's the same. I might just be getting really frustrated with the way all the side characters are behaving but it might not be that bad in the manga

They meet, but the ML doesn't recognize the MC and initially considers killing him. The MC also doesn't recognize the ML, so he speaks positively about the ML when they sit together sometimes, which confuses the ML since he doesn't know who this person is. In one scene, they encounter an enemies and see the MC's old body. You realize that ppl have been trying to recreate the MC's body to deceive and attempt to kill the ML. This is why the ML and those close to the MC get very angry if someone claims to be the MC, as they believe the MC is dead and that others are exploiting this fact.
ML does recognise MC in the latest few chapters but his subordinates don't understand how important MC is let him almost die again out of their own selfish wants.
The female character is so damn good. She is really playing the most part in waking up ML's dark side. We love it!!!

The most fascinating thing about this is day's personality. It's so interesting he seems angry but it's not genuine anger. He doesn't hate anyone even after they do messed up thing. It's very interesting. Even after ilay has done all the things he did, tay doesn't hate him at all.
