I don't think so, it seems to be a marriage of political stuff, not out of any emotion towards the mc, besides basic care for her wellbeing. It could end up as a surface level marriage, without her having to perform the ussual marital duties. We'll just have to wait and see

And while they call Arjord the “former” king, from the depiction we got of him when he was king, he was only 16-18 years old. I would estimate no more than 10 years have passed since then, so he’s likely I’m his late 20s. He only looks older because he has a weather worn face and beard. Also, during that time period people physically aged faster and died faster than they do today. So a 20yr could look like he’s 30 and a 30yr could look like he’s 40 and so on.
And frankly if you consider Arjord a pedo, then EVERY vampire/supernatural ML you’ve ever read about... is a pedo... just think about that and either drop the story or enjoy it for what it is... the story about a girl who’s an awesome seamstress
For those who are wondering what's the connection between the emperor and jinshi...

I haven't read the lastest chap but i think we're in the arc where maomao is going to make a revival medicine (or something like that). As far as i remember, maomao will help the concubine and ended up kidnapped by the fam of that concubine.
(the one that wears extravagant clothing) AND I SWEAR THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST ARC OF THE NOVEL. [I LITERALLY CRIED HERE LOL].
Yeaaah and just wanna inform you that the ROMANCE thingy abt this novel is as slow as turtle lololol.
So yeeeaaah, I actually wanna spoil y'all but there's A LOT of arc happened in the novel, I can't enumerate it lololol. I don't spoil that MUCH but...
STAN THE RA CLAN (maomao's real dad, dad, and adopted brother/cousin) THEY ARE SO FUNNY AND WHOLESOME LOL ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ [I WANNA SPOIL Y'ALL SO BAD ABT MAOMAO'S FAMILY COZ IT'S FRIGGIN CUTE AND FUNNY]
And i just wanna say that, THE STORYLINE IS WELL WRITTEN. From the world building, etc. I literally learned so many things from the story. There's a lot of riddles in the novel that made me feel so dumb lolol but yeeaaah, at the very least, they applied some logic in the story. (Which made the KNH masterpiece)

I readed this a long time ago but I stopped and kinda forgot the whole plot and idk where the story is supposed to go..
Oh yeah, i read novel long ago hehe(๑•ㅂ•)و✧ but as far as i remember it's mostly about maomao (and her adventures obviously) kinda slow when it comes to character development (since maomao didn't even care abt jinshi's feelings).
The story mostly tackles abt maomao (her family and such.) And also jinshi too.
Here's some arc in the novel (as far as I remember)
*That revival thingy
*Abt the teen concubine (basen will fall in love with the youngest concubine lol)(〜￣△￣)〜
*Maomao being a nurse (I'm not sure abt the term to use but maomao will be something like that)
*Jinshi and Tactician battle (they will play go to win over maomao lmao tho maomao doesn't even care for both of them)
*Arc where we are sure that the setting of the story isn't china (we, readers were surprised. Coz in this arc, MAGIC does exist.)
*Maomao training to become a doctor
*Maomao got some friends around her age (yeaaaah one of the cutest arc lol AND IT IS SO HILARIOUS COZ THERE'S SOMETHING LIKE YURI HAPPENING (￣∇￣"))
