I feel like with the way the ML is acting he probably has some trauma with MC and his siblings like not being able to protect them properly and probably blame himself and thinks its better if he kept a distance. I bet there’s gonna be a cliche line where he’s like I shouldn’t have done blah blah blah but i couldnt help it bc i missed you/like you so much.
