Duchess's Lo-Fi Coffeehouse
Your usual basic shoujo drama plot + coffee talk.
FL is forced to marry a duke from another country, easy task bc she was abused all her life and can't wait to get away. She was a barista in the life before and remembers it, so that's where the coffee knowledge comes from. Basically the same thing as the Duchess' 50 tea recipes, but with coffee.
The Male Leads Were Stolen by the Extra
It's interesting in the way that you wanna see what the past and new villains will be up to, but other than that I'm lukewarm about this. I simply cannot feel FL's betrayal bc her once-friends are such shallow one-dimensional characters, so obviously caricatures of your usual 3 flavors of potential love interests.
None of these people's intereactions so far had any spice, only when FL faces a bad guy does it get spicy ffs, and I bet the translations we got going on rn ain't helping. FL herself I don't find all that charming either. She knows that their friendship was based on their romantic interest, but is upset (I get the fiance but I'm talking more about the dragon and priest) that they leave her for another woman. She also got those weird nostalgic flashbacks where all of them are obviously seeing her in a romantic light or being vaguely romantic, and then she's like "we were friends, oh and yea I only reciprocated my fiance ofc". Maybe it's bc all character got pretty shallow personalities. In a story that lacks so much you notice this type of shit very quickly, and it basically ruins the whole plot. Like, Grace's whole thing with seducing the fishies makes no sense if you know the spoilers. There is no reason for it, but it's the title of the manhwa anyway? Ok, ig.
I'm Divorced, But I'm a Chaebol
I don't know why this is so highly rated tbh, it feels so basic to me. The author didn't bother to actually look into how divorce procedures or business works, so it just feels like the world is bending around MC to make her look successful. I'm no businessman myself, but this void of detail is so obvious bc everytime MC wants to outdo other businesses (or literally anyone) she just spends more money. Speaking of money, in a manwha all about money you'd think it would be explained how much money is worth where, or at least the value compared to Won, Dollars or whatever... but it never is. You just have to take MC's word for it when she says this much is little for that without any explanation as to why. The only reason, I think, people can overlook that is bc they're caught up in projecting themselves on a MC that literally cannot go wrong no matter what she does. The world building in this story is also close to nothing, we're just left with assuming the basics, while MC goes through the 10 things a perfect reincarnated shoujo protagonist has to face in every generic isekai romance list. The only times when I read something close to world building, it's something bad that MC has to try and fix because it's bad.
