I'm honestly not mad at her, just sliiiightly annoyed. She gave out his phone number under a dumb pretense and that's it, very childish and pointless, a very ok-let's-let-this-child-off situation.
That last "I can't support you"-line is so pathetic though. Appreciate the warning but who asked you for your support anyway?
I have to stop at chapter 7 rq because like, I'm not 100% sure this is just a me-thing, but this whole "women are demons" pov from ML is so???
Nothing against the trauma being there, sounds reasonable, but it's crazy that e v e r y woman this guy meets tries to drug him e v e r y t i m e in some way - or at least it sounds like the guy never met a sane woman besides that redhead maybe.
It feels cartoonish to me, like the story artificially made every other woman look bad so ML would have an excuse to neglect FL.
bro you can't just set her up to be this convincing villainess, playing everyone for the sake of her sister's happiness, just so it turns out everyone has known from the beginning. Like MAN. I expected that maybe the sister, butler, and (sure why not) the ML knew but not the whole damn cast of characters. That's so pathetic lmao. She from from slay to flail way too quick imo.
I like how crunchy the story is, you can chomp it in one bite and enjoy the ride, but if you look too close it starts to crack.
I understood the fake-bullying to distract the parents and unwanted meddlers, but then it gets to faking Iora's handwriting and that letter, and I just can't follow the logic anymore.
She may be a dumbass but at least ML is openly calling it out and loving her for it, god bless lmao
I hate that kinda FL boo-hoo-I-have-to-leave-ML-behind mindset, especially when their logic isn't logicing.
Correct me if I'm wrong but from how things are going very much her way she doesn't have a real reason to leave Dino behind. Her position as national monster-sitter isn't even dangerous because her life force is fine and she doesn't have to join any wars anyway because her monster-hubby is registered as an apothecary type. She has no reason to leave?
Please I pray that there won't be any artificial drama about her leaving or whatever, it just doesn't add up in my tiny pebble I call brain.
I have to say, after holding my breath and crying for 23 chapters, his new twink form gives me so much whiplash. I just had to pause real bad. I don't understand why it has to be twink - it's ok to reincarnate and possess bulky men, they have a soul worthy of kicking out too, don't be so scared now.
This is everything I wanted in a reincarnation story and more.
I'm so angry and upset for Margaret. I also love how realistically war is portrayed. The focus shouldn't be on the winners, not the grand fictories but the person, the people, who have to suffer through and die by the tragedy that is war. Not to repeat mistakes of the past - this manhwa aced that message while also incorporating some sick magicy feels with Mag's whole reincarnation/fate thing.
I stomped on the brakes at chapter 30.
First of all, I don't know if it's just me but the dialogue felt so... theatrical in the beginning, the pretentious kind, perhaps thats just me.
What bugs me more is my disappointment towards how FL is percieved. Like, girlie was so quick to analyse and see through all these handsome bastards, so I expected them to do the same thing and test her. But all of them buy it just like that, and the prince's 2nd birthday banquet set that in stone.
I was really thinking that the Duke had secretly already seen through FL's lover girl poker-face and taken advantage of her anyway. Same with ML, but it turns out he just fell for her while the Duke fell.. into her trap. Meh. I wanted more of this suspense in not knowing whether they were being honest of not.
Also, I don't understand why FL didn't tell ML who really was behind his kingdom's downfall, about the prophecy etc. Visit the old man with him. She is so happy to have a common enemy with ML but fails to tell him that he's misguided in his hatred for the Emperor.
And ofc now ML runs into the Duke's arms, unknowing of the truth, just to build up this cheap-feeling drama born thanks to non-communication and oversight. Amazing.
If this does go in a different direction tell me, but for now I'm turned off by where this is headed.
This is how you do bdsm; I was so over all these smut manhwa that did not have a clue and just made the sub look like a stockholm victim. You can tell ML is invested in his role too and only powerless on a surface level during their play. Which makes it even more hot bc you know he's groveling out of pure horniness and love for FL.
You know, the way she died was sad but at the same time... it feels so useless after almost 200 chapters of her mostly acting like a vain hoe with no personality, you know what I mean? She was a cheap knock-off bratz villain from the start, never felt like a threat or a person (maybe for like 2 seconds during her blackstory but that's it). Her death was as useless as her life was, talking story-wise.
If the author now dares to have the Emperor remarry again and let him get away with nothing but sad boy energy, I'll riot.
Dear author, please stop trying to write a story. Just let them fuck.
I'm waiting here patiently, sitting by the porch like a good doggie.
Ik it's supposed to be funny, but I still just want to tell MC to just grab management, or even better the guild leader, by the throat so they hire more staff and start punishing other employees for slacking off.
This type of toxic work culture can go die, free the japanese salary/wo/men I say.
There's so many tropes in this and it's so funny.
The sci-fi is cool. Then the whole thing with animal people, their heat, and the chaebol family drama is whatever, cult classic tropes.
Then FL turns out to be a transmigrator who learned cooking on "ancient earth" before coming back from her coma, and all a sudden we're having cooking content, tropes number 3 and 4. Trope/mini-genre number 5 is live streaming where the ml is ofc the one donating the most cash. Topped off with an academy arc which makes this 6 in total so far.
Chinese manhua is on another level, I'm not even hating it's just crazy.
YO just let me sob in here for a moment, bc this started with me just finding this River guy sus. I see comments, I read SOME FEW spoilers, I go and look on the novel update forums, and jesus christ - nail me up there with him.
If you want spoilers on the specifics about Rivers and his cushy behaviour:
The guy sees the maid he grew up with in Dahlia. He grew up seperated from his family with that maid and fell in love with her, but he thought she died.
His father also pushed him to get close to Dahlia for political gains.
So yea, the guy gives his all to rizz her up but is quick to drop the act when it turns out that the maid's still alive. But he's not a bad guy, just desperate for his first crush.
And guess what? There's so much MORE to the story, holy fucking shit.
The reason why that maid is so similar to FL is bc she's really just Dahlia from another timeline. And wait that's not all, that alt timeline Dahlia is also actually O'neil the supposed novel FL. I'm speechless guys.
O'neil/og Dahlia is stuck in a timeloop bc ML made a deal with the devil in which he pays with his own happiness to fuel those time reversals (which is also why his life is so shit in this current timeline, bc it's not the first one - his family was actually pretty normal in the og timeline but got progressively worse each time FL returned). In that first timeline FL ended herself bc of the schemes of her paternal aunt and uncle who killed her parents to take the dukedom, and ML regreted not being there for her and stopping her in time.
So, og Dahlia goes a bit mad over all that dying and coming back, and eventually decides to travel to an optimal timeline (timeline of our Dahlia) where she's happy and can help from the shadows, so Dahlia can be as happy as possible - shortly whereafter she wants to just freeze time to be rid of this torture. She becomes O'neil, chills out with River and plots and waits.
But in the end the loop is broken, she won't be freezing anything and fades away peacefully (after exploring the world a bit.. and poor rivers is left to chase after her) since she can't exist that long in a timeline she doesn't belong to.
So in the end you could really say that he does love Dahlia in a very confusing ass way.
I'm not the only one who's totally overwhelmed by that, am I? Like not even in a bad way, just omg.
I'll just say it, this is kinda bad? Like it's a cute concept but way too rushed. FL got into so much heat in just 27 chapters. Sure she is proactive, but also ends up being ML's damsel in distress 99% of the time so far, it doesn't help that she's basically a Mary Sue - her elegance and purity is praised so much for no reason, always being compared to white lilies which is so... Literally the very demure meme.
