Usually, I've read mangas where the sadness overpowers so much so that the characters don't go out of their room, don't eat and sleep but here it's like somewhere everyone has something they are sad for, no one's completely fulfilled. They talk, they think over the talk, they reminiscence, they cry but they move on or atleast they try to move on even though they keep going back to the memories. It's a kind of silent melancholy for me and I really like this style of art.
