No, reread it he had many opportunities to explain, tell her he's sick or let his little brother read her letter but he burnt it, like he could've given it to him after he got better. He didnt let either communicate, yes there's nothing bad with trying to save his brother but he cut off communication between them both, and if his brother was really sick he should have told her.
NGL that was sad when she said "how can someone change over night, that's how I felt when you fell for trashta" that was sad because yeah she doesn't love him but her feelings of hurt are still there when she remembers. Like it's just sad because when you reread the first few chapters (where he and trashta mock her behind her back) he really fell out of love and broke her heart,like it came out of nowhere for her and it's not like this guy with his lost memories would love her forever either because he would grow older and still do the same, fall out of love and find someone else. It's just seems inevitable because its who he is as a person.
