I'm NGL I've seen worse MLS. I quite enjoy a good redemption/chase arc. I hope it works out for the both of them. I'm not into the politics I just want to see how they progress and change for eachother.

This is stupid people need to stop blaming maxi for going on this mission when they had no choice but to take her. They needed a mage she was the only one available. Riftan needs to get with it and work with her not against her. I don't care for all the other comments about how he cares for her blah blah blah. This situation happened because of necessity that's it. She couldn't start small missions because they needed a mage for survival. The knights were the one who insisted she went because they needed a mage for healing and barriers spells.
Now let's hope he won't go on a I told you so lecture when they find her.

She probably wouldn't even have gotten smaller missions either bc Riftan was against her learning magic to begin with and didn't like her doing anything not befitting of a noble lady.

I don't really think it's like that. I think riftan is just very afraid of maxi getting hurt, because he has seen that she is a very fragile person. Of course we've seen that she's very strong willed, but that doesn't mean that she's suddenly not weak. Yes she learnt magic, but her physical composition is just weak itself. And I don't mean this in a condescending way at all! I just think, that all the people who are so triggered by riftan's behaviour should think from his perspective as well. Of course I was mad at him as well, but think about it. Is he really being an ass or is he just worried about his wife??

What use is she and her spells if she is constantly exausted? It was a stupid decision to take her. They made it worse for themselfs. They have a liability in their ranks, she needs to be looked after and protected.

I don't think so. Why do you think they were delayed at the back? They are constantly crowding her to protect her. They wouldn't be in the situation at all if she was not there.
I only know Riftan is like that because of people who read the novel. They said that he's a bit obsessed with the idea of her nobility when tgey read his perspectiveand stuff. You can see it a bit if you reread with that in mind. That's what I was getting at. Sure he does worry for her safety, but if it was just that he wouldn't be so opposed to her learning magic which she was obviously passionate about.
Naaaaaawh I just read asagiri and mitsuedas chapters again the way he looks at her in chapter 40...I can't he has to be alive I need him as asagiri together. This hurts man. They way she did everything so that he stays on top and alive the way he stayed to protect her.

Oh my gosh came back to reread the last two chapters then I read the 1st chap again oh my gosh taeju ...(I completely forgot how bad he was in the beginning) but got such good character development. I feel like he got such a good redemption arc. I like the fact that the both of them in end haven't completely forgotten what happened but have decided to move forward but whilst acknowledging that what conspired wasn't right. Both mcs got such good character developments.
I love this I need more chapter side stories of them with their two babies (little brother)

Okay so from the spoilers we know that's he is the way he is because of their past, but I hope the fl will listen to ml because this is the only way either can avoid trauma. That trash if a prince was the one who caused fl trauma who in turn traumatised the ml over several lifetimes.
