I have a theory that Cain and jooin have both reincarnated (from the joseon/old Korean period) however only Cain has the memories of their previous life in which jooin could be a rich noble while Cain was his servant(maybe jooin saved him or smthn that's why he's so loyal to him)
Cuz Cain keeps talking as if he spent alot of time with jooin and alot of people are saying that maybe they were childhood friends who forgot about each other but in the recently previous chapter when jooin was wearing a hanbok Cain said he looks exactly as he remembered (I forgot what he said but it was smthn along these lines)
