You know, not to be at his defense, bullying doesn't always mean the person hates their target(s). In some ways, it's either insecurity for their own inadequacies, deep down love is truly there, manipulated from a young age to act so cruelly (following the crowd so to speak).
Bullying doesn't come from hatred all the time. In Jade's case, there could be more than just his torment towards Olivia. I don't think he is acting like a victim but he is quite too late make things up. Unlike Estella who was pressured heavily, as a young adult, into the misunderstanding of her mother's death correlating with Olivia showing up. Which was why she was easier to forgive because she realized in time she made a mistake and begged Olivia for forgiveness.
Jade realizing too late his actions left a permanent scarring that not even time can tell when she can forgive him. I will say, out of the two brothers, he is a near decent one compared to the other.
He admitted to himself that he wanted her to feel a little shame, probably because their mother died and she was blamed. Like…. He’s grown now, I know when younger he just assumed shes cool with the bullying because she likes it, and not because she’s enduring so they love her and keep her.
But not coming to that conclusion that it was BOTH the families treatment and the royal family is wild. He really sat there like, “oh it’s because the royal family treating her like that.. that’s the reason she won’t come back!” Is minimizing his guilt that’s slowly putting pressure in him.
It is the lack of respect to Viera to come out with a saying her stress of finding a husband to inherit her DYING/SICK (Cannot remember which one it is, or if it's both rn) is a straight up lie.
It fucks with her plans to succeed the heiress spot as well as fucking up Lukash's plans as well. Honestly it's disgusting, who would joke like that? Marriage is no joke, especially when it was the condition for a her, a woman, to take the Viscount in place of her sister who is too young to do so
I think Prince Gilbert should at least tell her how he feels about her. Not necessarily burdening her with the fact she is already married and in love with someone else, but to show her she is a desirable woman, contrary to how she was perceived growing up. Its worth getting your feelings across amd I believe would help boost her confidence. Carolina and Prince Gilbert may not be an end game, but she knows she is well loved by those who actually care.
Yep, I expected this to turn out exactly how I imagined. He loathed the fact Philomela was being basically bullied by Patricia because she is loved so he used the bitch like the fool she is in a roundabout way to protect the girl he always loved in the most stupidest way possible. Instead of revealing Patricia was in the wrong, he isolated Philomela and still allowed her to be bullied to the point she was married off to another empire that Patricia was banking on her sister being treated far worse.
Stupid, plain stupid on the Crown Prince's part, same with the bitch.
This is so real. She was in love in the past life with the wrong person and in this one she is trying to get revenge. The ML knows her feelings but sees she is denying it herself because he can see she is fighting demons that don't make much sense except for what he has seen at the academy.
Chances are, in order for her to fully accept the feelings she has and allow him closer is most likely telling him about the past life. Cledwyn will see how much it would make sense why she is extremely smart but also falter when her fears and trauma begins to show at sudden points. Why she cries in her sleep and why she is so desperate for revenge on people who only simply bullied her and those who don't seem to directly affect her in this life.
I honestly love these two and how they fit each other well.

Whether the FL is slow or dimwitted, it takes only one little seed of doubt to send someone through a spiral, especially for what she has been through already.
I am glad it is starting to get good now the misunderstanding is dealt with
