Art is kinda mid but still really good at times!! It definitely improves more as it nears the end! I just find it funny sometimes how the older characters have a more realistic features while the younger characters are more stylized with bigger eyes and such lol. The beginning low-key all the characters make very weird decisions , like the fl is smart but at times I’m just like oh you didn’t consider that or account for that to happen? And the main antagonist, her sister, she is very in consistent at times. Like I wish they could have just made her smart as well because it doesn’t make sense how she remains in power, the walker family have aren’t really established to do much other then be extremely wealthy, so I don’t understand why many people side with her- like they don’t explain that well and makes the nobles who follow her only for money which is kinda unrealistic to me, like they followed her till treason, for money and that she could become queen?? Like uh she can’t follow any political talks, all she can do is bribe people, I don’t see how she can lead a war to kill the king?? Like nobles are stupid for following her like that , how she even got them to imprison her father is even more of a mystery. I wish they established her to be very smart at least instead of this cunning but also not smart and only using power to manipulate things. Then the ml, I hated him so much in the beginning, like he’s also stupid too. He doesn’t see how Isabel becoming queen will be problematic?? He’s gonna clean up after her how? like it’s shown that only one who opposes her will die, her tactics when she goes against the fl is so clearly unfair I don’t understand why I king even agreed to it. Like that just looks disgraceful on his end no matter how much he wants the walker family to be bonded with them. And the ml’s reason for being so apathetic to everything is because he is just the “prince” and has no opinion, and like it even becomes implied they he has no hope for the empire and won’t care if it falls to ruin. So when he suddenly changes and has a heartfelt moment with the fl it’s kinda weird how he changed. Like he even in the first life when the fl gets executed, TELLS HER, I’m disappointed in you, I thought you would be different. Like HUH? Oh so he could think, but he didn’t even bother to help her, at least hear her reasoning when she got the disengagement or when she was falsely accused of treason?? Like the sudden change for him when he did talk to the fl just felt a little forced. Then he starts showing favoritism to her outwardly which why would he do tha? Obviously others would use that against him, like even when I was seeing the inspection part, like the prince very obviously showed favoritism on the fl. Also why is Isabel is in love with the ml? Like at first she only wants to become queen so she after him, but like near the end of the story she says that she does love him and wonders if she would be sadden if she killed him uhhh?? When did this love develop?? He’s been cold and rejected her so many times . Plus crazy how she can take over the nobles and kingdom so easily like, I feel liked there would be more nobles trying to take advantage of her instead of her having complete control through out the whole thing. And Isabel is shown to have a lot of hatred for her sister, I wish there was more scenes of her jealousy or just plain hate toward her sister for getting in the way of her becoming queen. And for the fl I wished they showed the things that she did for her land, instead of skip to 3 years after, I wish she also showed more accomplishments like helping the poor people that were kicked out of the walker domain, even like solving problems isabel caused like small things like that would establish more clearly her capabilities and so we as readers would see how bad the land was before and how much she changed it. Idk a lot of plot holes, but over all this was a good story!! It’s not perfect but I still enjoyed reading it. The ending was really sweet as well!! I am enjoying the side story for Queen Elizabeth, the art definitely improved and low-key enjoying that story much more lol
