Well that was a disappointing reaction. I can understand being raised in a socially conservative country (hello, Asian-born American here). But come on, girl! Your brother is your brother. Judging strangers I get; people do that all the time even though they shouldn't. But your own family? I will never ever be able to understand people who treat their own family members like this -- you can be shocked and you can need time to "process" but how could you ever treat them with anything but love? I can't believe she just walked out of there letting him think he'd been abandoned!! SMH.
(Also, don't get me started on people who cut off their own family members because they can't accept them. It's happened to one of my best friends, and it was absolutely heartbreaking.)
