i saw someone said that this manga is the most realistic romance ever so i tried reading it and by realistic i thought it meant like how human usually act yk, commonly not able to express their feelings well, miscommunication, lies, anger and more. thats what realistic is to me. so when i read this, all i thought was “where tf is the realistic”. sure they’re all sweet, cute and honest i really love that part. but its a big no for me when it comes to realistic. there are no human that is that fucking honest and that good with communication. okay i would understand if its 1 or 2 person that is honest and has a hand in communication, but all the characters in this manga is good at them. idk maybe its just me but i dont see it. where? realistic where? idealistic, yes.

i think it's realistic in the way that they view love and treat love within their world. it's not earth-shattering, or magical, but it's special in its own way. i think it's idealistic, but i wouldn't call it unrealistic either. there's so many romances out there that focus all on the romance, or just on the romance and friends. but here, everyone is treated fairly equally when it comes to characterization. everyone has their own thoughts and feelings and goals, and you can't help but respect and feel for that, because in a way, that mimics reality. there are going to be times when you dislike a trait about your friend, but it's not something you should bear hatred for. i do think the level of communication is really surprising, but i wouldn't go so far and say it's unrealistic, because there really are people like that, who easily express themselves and are always honest. and to be honest, seeing people miscommunicate all the time is just really annoying for me...so it's nice to see a couple that tries to talk things out before things spiral out of hand.
tl;dr: i would say this a pretty realistic story in terms of how falling in love happens and what people in real life are like. communication-wise, that could be debated, but i do have friendships in real life that resemble the ones in this manga.

noo i dont have any hatred for it i actually love this cute manga i do respect and love this manga. im just going all out with the person who called it a realistic relationship. i see its probably bc u have those nice honest relationships with friends or partners. but i’ve never experienced those and in my view human are full of stinky emotions. yes ofc mostly are nice and honest but i’ve never ever met someone like that. maybe thats why i said that this manga wasn’t realistic.

oh i totally get that. TvT people really suck sometimes. i'm someone who tends to be pretty honest and straightforward about things when they come up, so the kinds of people i attract and talk to are those who don't mind that kind of thing. of course, everyone has a different perspective on life, and that's on me for not realizing that properly earlier, my apologies. TwT (i actually really resonate with one of kaoruko's friends, and it was really surprising because i've never seen someone in a manga with a personality so similar to mine before, it was kinda crazy!)

apology accepted and i apologize too that my words has misled u too think that i have negative thoughts on this sweet manga. I LOVE THIS MANGA I SWEAR. i bet u’re a really nice person T-T. well the thing is i’ve always been taken advantage of people who lies a lot and at the end of the day its my fault for believing those nasty people. so i try to be a lot more picky when it comes to finding friends and i tend to not see the best in people.

im on the first 10 chapter and i cried bc of how much i relate to hyunjin when loving someone. i understand the anxiousness and confusion state of waiting for them to pick up the phone or come home. the anxiousness will take over and all i could think abt is them and would cry myself to sleep. i hate that so much

pls someone tell me who does jihan ends up with bc i dont want it to be the otaku guy

Ngl I was also confused by that comment because it doesn't seem that way after I read the most recent update in the raws. The endgame relationship (not just the fwb one MC has with both MLs) is still up in the air afaik, unless there's a completed novel out there (though I doubt that). MC is easily sleeping with them both and has so far not shown any qualms to their 3some, so I'm honestly hoping the story ends with a 3p.
im confused why is everyone babying woojin didn’t he cheated too and was the first one to show interest and having feelings towards other man while in a relationship?
I guess really it’s just the aspect of him also being cheated on and manipulated into feeling like he was worthless. Besides I think he at least improved and worked on himself that’s why ppl are rooting for him now i just want both of them to be happy huhuhuh ;-;
-Well, for his relationship with second ml;
Mc was already traumatized, wasnt ready for another relationship. While Ml didnt mean it at first, he made mc dependant on him and he was very controlling. He is the one who offered him a place to stay, then he gets mad when mc couldnt write anything. Also, mc having feelings for other man, it isnt something he had control of. Ml had a right to be mad at him but instead of breaking up or talking like healthy couples do, he started abusing and cheating on him. And in the end, he also assalted him for wanting to breaking up.
"But mc started it!". Mc didnt really do anything. And even if he did, noone deserve to be treated like this. Readers have no reason to hate mc for this.
- now, his relationship with the main ML.
Once again, mc isnt ready to new love life but it happenned anyway. Now, in this relationship, mc is definitely at fault for cheating. But the way it happens and mc s mental struggle makes people feel sympathy for him. Like, mc didnt forget other guy. He was still traumatized and clearly mentally ill. Dependant personality disorder. He is been abused by other guy for years. It was easier to run away from actual relationship because being abused is more familiar to him.
Does this explain his actions? Yes.
Does this excuse? No.
Does this make him empathic? Deoends, but mostly yes because even main ML could tell Mc wasnt okay at all. He was always mentally unstable, to be honest, we readers were already waiting for everything to be ruined. Why? We knew Woojin wasnt okay. He needed therapy. Not new relationship.
- Now, in the end Woojin felt sorry for his actions and they broke up. (There is no point of hating him when he is clearly so ruined and face consequences of his actions.) Mc also got therapy for years, he learnt to be independant. This proves his growth. Mc isnt perfect flawless person. He is just human. He made mistake (when he was clearly mentally unstable) but in the end, he pulled his life together. And thats what matters.
Do ML has to forgive mc? No but if he wants to forgive and date with him again, its his choice. Even if Mc was horrible person which he isnt, it would still be ML's choice. They are adults. Its up to them.
- Readers root for them because they live each others. Because they grow up and now develop healthy relationship together.
Thank you for this! Cuz I feel like some readers don't take a moment to stop and digest and reflect on what's happening on the story and characters
PS. im not taking about the main comment incase there's a misunderstanding. Just a genuine thanks cuz the reply above is really on point if ever someone still blame mc for everything or the cheating
U are welcome. I needed to release my thoughts lol.
