Anyone knows if the Korean chapters are on a hiatus or something? End of season? They haven't updated for a while ╥﹏╥ and the latest chapters are WILD!
I feel like none of them really acknowledge neither how badly the duke treated him before (shaming him, rape/non-con, leaving bruises) or how he was drugged and raped by the other guys. I mean, Jace is dumb, no question about it, but the duke is stupid too, believing Jace would want to jump into a relationship with him directly after all that.
Sometimes it feels like they show the effect of assault properly like when Jace, in pain and disheveled, told the kid they could go to the circus, or when he was trembling in fear and shame from feeling the effect of the aphrodisiac and told the duke he wasn't promiscuous (obviously traumatised from when the duke assaulted him saying it was okay since he would do it with anyone). But then in other instances it's like none of the trauma ever happened.
About the duke helping him when he was drugged, I would have supported it if he only focused on pleasing and helping Jace, but it felt kinda disingenuous when he took advantage of the situation to get some dick action himself.
Honestly I'm kinda sad. Doumeki was so cute before. I absolutely loved their dynamic and it's extremely hard to find BL where the uke is the boss and the seme respects them to that extent. And for some reason in those rare cases when the uke is the boss he often loses that power and angers the seme who then is resentful and treats the uke badly.
I reaaaaaly hope this doesn't turn into one of those stories. This is Yoneda Kou so I have hopes but I'm still scared. I can understand Doumeki but I just don't want him to turn into an ass. ╥﹏╥
Any recommendations for BL (preferably yaoi) where the uke is in position of power like a CEO/boss and is actually competent and respected and didn't have to sleep around to get there? Like boss ukes are really rare in itself and when I do find them they almost always had to sleep themselves to the top. And they often also have shitty personalities. I want an uke who is competent, doesn't have to degrade himself and who also isn't an asshole. Why is that so hard to find? ╥﹏╥
I don't have a problem with the first or third couple. Lowell and the prince were always strongly against slavery, respected the spinels and didn't use their position to coerce sexual favours. If anything Lowell was the victim of assault. Honestly, IF there is gonna be a master servant relationship I appreciate that the uke is the master for once as it is almost always the reverse with the semes having a lot of power and the ukes always being at a disadvantage.
But I really don't like the second couple. The duke abused, raped, talked down to and humiliated the uke. But it's supposed to be okay because he actually loved the uke all this time? You shouldn't do that to anyone, even less to someone you supposedly care about. Also the age difference makes me uncomfortable, the uke looks super young and the duke looks so old. And lastly it just happened so fast. Suddenly the duke wasn't an abusive pervert and they love each other and are super cheesy with each other and everything is sunshine and rainbows... No, just no （/TДT)/

I'm happy to see the first couple again! I loved both of them and their dynamic, and especially how cute and sweet but also manly and hot Kyuho is. For some reason I couldn't really get into the second couple. I don't dislike them and it's nice to have reasonable, realistic adults for once, but I just felt that the seme was a bit too calm and collected all the time. I would have loved to see emotions like him being shy or feeing, anxious, jealous and sad etc. I hope to see more of his feelings in the third season! (●'◡'●)ﾉ

They only met like twice and they are definitely not in a relationship. And he didn't even personally accept the Friday invitation, so he didn't do anything wrong. But still, why choose a creepy random dude who wants to drug you when you have a kind hottie waiting for you? ╥﹏╥
While I feel bad for Jeha for being beaten up and think his child abusing dad should go to jail, it is unrelated to and doesn't condone how he's been treating Mongryong.
Jeha has been treating Myongryong like shit honestly, kidnapping him, imprisoning him, treating him like a prostitute and sending him away to some pervert etc. Just because Mongryong usually acts carefree doesn't mean you can treat him however you want. And Mongryong was an innocent person who was dragged into everything only because of his relation to his sister. Jeha deserves to feel bad about it and imo he needs to work to be forgiven. Just because he will treat him better from now on doesn't mean the past is undone.

Just finished reading and (maybe an unpopular opinion) but Ginu is kind of an a-hole. He has the AUDACITY to expect Yubin to confess AGAIN when he himself doesn't have the guts to. Even though he knows how Yubin feels but Yubin doesn't know how he feels. It would be much easier for Ginu to confess. But instead he plays with Yubin's feelings, manipulates him and confuses him. He is so self-entered and arrogant! He is too scared to be vulnerable but expects the other person to lay his feelings bare. I really hoped Ginu would get over himself and confess "first" and was so disappointed when he didn't. Also, when he can't even admit his feelings he has no right to act so possessive of him. I actually liked the "apology-chapter" at the end, finally Yubin had the chance to turn the tables, but it still feels like it was resolved very easily. They were kinda cute at the end though.
