To give Jin the benefit of the doubt (not that he did anything wrong, just very stupid) he may not have gotten the message to meet on Friday, or maybe he was preoccupied at the moment and didn't hear it or something. It can always be dangerous to send messages through someone else. Or maybe he he's too pissed off and wants to calm down before he goes there. Or he's self destructive which isn't gonna change after meeting someone nice twice, no matter how hot they are
