sigurd didnt really love marie. he loved nasha. but because nasha is taken, he aggreed to marie's feelings out of consolation. but now that he had learned the truth, his view and sentiment of his sister and father were more impactful to him due to regret and guilt of the past. so it was easy for him to neglect marie as he didnt have as deep of attachment. and his feelings for nasha has basically evaporated at this point. since he was already letting go of his feelings eversince he accepted marie. seeing nasha throwing tantrums and basically announced her plans to kill his sister removed any leftover feelings whatsoever.
