The author is a genius. I think people focus so much on the romantic aspects of the story and couples that they miss why/how the interactions between characters make a compelling work of art. I'm glad each character is 3 dimensional and fleshed out. Also I typically get scared when stories are "too deep" because they are hard to follow, negative aspects are romanticized, and dialogue is unrealistically fancy. But this story was not the case, so I fucking loved it. I might actually purchase this manhwa if any physical books are printed.
And I see why the author said they'd like to think of happiness as something continuous but elevates and declines, but I usually feel that way about sadness. Happiness isn't something even 1% present sometimes for me. I guess that's why this story made me cry a lot lmao.

I don't really think its internalized homophobia. In fact, Taehwan never even said the word "gay" in a negative connotation (I think). I think its more the fact that Yeonwoo kissed him while he was sleeping in high school and climbed on top of him in college. That's sexual assault. THAT'S what's disgusting. Him showing his true nature. This is where the stereotypes come into play because people think "bottoms" are weak and fickle, so them being assaulters isn't something that would happen. But no one wants to have that conversation. Taehwan befriended a person just to get take advantage of. Trust me, I love Yeonwoo more than anyone but this "internalized homophobia" shit is getting on my nerves because Yeonwoo isn't the victim, Taehwan is. And now he's getting seen as homophobic just because he's frustrated.
My theory is that Taehwan was attracted to Yeonwu in high school and is constantly fighting himself with that so he takes it out of Yeonwu

I think that Yeonwu got caught being gay with Taehwan when they weren't in a relationship and that tarnished Taehwan's popularity, so that's why he's mad at Yeonwu and is avoiding him is college.

This ain't it. Homophobia and internalized homophobia are MILES AWAY in the way they perform. He's not straight up homophobic just for the sake of it, it's pretty damn clear there's more to it (at least for a keen eye?). He's got trauma. It was confirmed in the raws aswell already that there's an actual reason for it (which has nothing to do with Yeonwu). Internalised homophobia always stems from trauma, and affects people differently. But YOU'RE not ready for that talk i guess
