No way! Even if he wasn't actually dead, do you know how much that would DESTROY Yona? She's gone through too much to have the person she loves taken away again! And I can't watch her fall apart like that again, especially since Hak couldn't help her through it. When Soo Won killed her father, she would've died without Hak. And not just him protecting her. He kept her moving and eating. He made sure she survived. I'm not sure the Dragons, or even Yoon could do that if she thought Hak was dead. and even if they could keep her going until the initial shock was over, she'd probably go on a suicide/revenge run against whoever she thought killed him. I just can't watch that.
Not sure how it connects with his father, but I'm pretty sure Soo Won couldn't watch the kingdom go on in that state anymore. Remember, Kouka was in pretty bad shape when Il was king. He wasn't a bad man, but too gentle for the throne. I'm not exactly a war monger. I'm actually very against it. But you need to have power so you can maintain relations with other countries. Having a strong military ready doesn't mean war. In fact, it might even ensure peace. it's a show of muscle, and hopefully you won't have to use it. It's more so your allies know they can trust you to come to their aid if they need it. it strengthens relations and can allow for treaties and trade relations that could've benefited the economy and quality of life for the citizens of Kouka.
Ok, I ranted long enough about that. you know, that was the speech I gave to Tao and Kouren every time they started talking about their policies.
Anyway, Soo Won understood how the kingdom should be ruled and was convinced that the only way to solve the problem was to kill his uncle.
