The beta is pretty damn spineless, if not for the back story, his character is pretty much one that could not think for himself. I understand the circumstances but damn it sure is a challenge to continue accepting this 'no development yet' stage. Just hoping the falling action and resolution didnt end in just a rushed 1 chapter cuz thatd be hella unfortunate
