I finished the novel back in July 2022 but i can say that i do not remember reading anything significant related to romance. Other than Munku, yeowun literally never looked at anyone else so y'all, keep reading and ride it out. If there was any harem at all, even I would've long lashed out and stopped reading but nah the story is full of action and less to nonexistent of those things you guys are worried about.

While it may be true that the story does have harem, itd be insulting to mark it as a harem story though cuz its not like that at all. So give it some more thoughts, its pure action on Yeowun's progress to become the strongest.
Also, he married her out of obligation and tbh itd be even more ass of him as a man(with the last string of humanity he has left) if he didn't. Imo it's nothing to be worried about, the plot buildups where he gets stronger and stronger were more appealing than everything else

I'm a tolerable person. There are only some stories i couldn't handle and usually itd be for the reason that its either too f ed up or angsty to the point of no return. But this story, no matter how many times i tried to get into it, its just not for me. Particularly because i hold the view that LAWYERS are supposed to be the ones with the most common sense but leewon's 'lawyer-ism' was so miniscule that made me even doubtful, is he even a lawyer?
I didn't like the story from the get go though due to this. During the fresh time of the relationship, suddenly the prospective lover man shot you not once, not even twice but thRICE. And despite the constant abuse of power, as a LAWYER, he still chose to be with his abuser.
Now ik some of yall have been caesar's defender/apologists yada yada, idc come at me without understanding this perspective first and I'll have you BLOCKED. Saying that he's a well written complex character is a bit over the top. He's mid at best and you can call my standards high because it is. If the story doesn't go into the details of the dark triads and psychopathy explicitly, paired with each important characters' portrayal of the gravity of the matter, then iTS MID TO DECENT at best. Why? Go and read TBMD if you haven't yet then or lets dissect and discuss about Seungho cause THAT man right there, is one of the most well written complex character.
Overall for the story, I'd call it a dark romance but not the kind of story I'd settle into. I think i would be less irritated if leewon was just an ordinary man but ffs they had to be a lawyer. Yall can talk about how realistic caesar is acting but leewon my guy, its rather disappointing. But with all the sex scenes to amend their relationship, that just added more into the negative points. Its like the LAW to have sex to finally be vulnerable. It satiate the readers' thirst but tbh this can never best solution all the time.

PREACH! I honestly don't mind this story but I completely get you. I would just say that even tho Lee won "chooses" to be there, he really doesn't because he has no other choice. When he tried leaving the first time, he got shot, kidnapped, raped, and almost froze to death. The fact the both his lover AND his father are in the mafia, not just in the mafia but actual mafia bosses with the former being retired but he still has A LOT of influence. He can't leave even when HE WANTED TOO. First time his dad gave him a pass but Caesar being a fucked up weirdo did even give him a chance to leave. Now with both the dad and Caesar, there is no chance in HELL lee won is ever leaving Russia without either of them knowing or getting their permission. （￣へ￣）
