Theory: I believe Mikhail invited the FL to a baptism to see if her core was hidden because if it was, it means she stopped taking her medication, recovered her abilities, and was able to hide her core; if she hadn't stopped taking her medicine, she wouldn't have been able to hide her core; I also believe the father gave the bird a letter to send to the high priest(Mikhail), stating or implying that his daughter had stopped taking her medicine, which explains why the high priest turned up unexpectedly to presumably clarify if what was said in the letter true with the babtism. When the female lead first enters the baptism, the priest gives her a separate blessing and releases a scent into the air that hypnotizes her, causing her to forget her reason for being there and become distracted, focusing more on how good the baptism was, but it wasn't until the priest grabbed her wrist quickly to search for her core that she awoken from the hypnosis (the grab might not have awoken her ,but rather the slight pain she felt.Mikhail then stops the other priest because he grabbed too hard when he was supposed to gently search, causing him to become irritated. When the FL explains to Hades what happened, he looks at Mickeal to clarify, and when Mikhail says a few words with eye contact, Hades is instantly hypnotized, causing him to doubt the FL assertion and leave. Heres my theory.... I believe that luca has traveled back in time and is reliveing the same life he has in the past , but what if this isnt the first time hes traveled back in time because he seemed as if he was use to it ,like it was a regular occurence .
