so i can’t help but wonder if the cover art is from something else? i mean caleb didn’t have long nails or dark skin and the mcs hair was way shorter? i might be reading into it too much but if smth else with that are is out there i need to know
im guessing that since there were so many hiatuses at the end, some plot stuff was set up but not used (like siyeon saying he couldn’t be honest because he was thinking of how to break up with taekyung?? but then that was never addressed again lol), and the seemingly rushed ending with many unanswered questions meant that smth happened and this wasn’t how the author originally wanted to go about ending this. could def be fixed with a season 2, but i dont think we’re getting that :’)
overall though it was a really fun and cute read! relatively low conflict and not too serious. i wish things would be cleared up—like why taekyung was so in love with siyeon from the start?—but im not mad at the ending haha.
this webtoon has filled me with a rage i cannot put into words. plot? trash. characters? trash. relationships? TRASH. the art towards the end saved this, but that is literally its only good point. everything is SO ILLOGICAL AND IF THE GODDAMN LEADS COULD HAVE SAID TWO WORDS TO EACH OTHER WHEN SOMETHING WENT WRONG ALMOST ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED. the amount of practically-almost-pretty-much-rape scenes had me gagging and i cant believe i made myself finish this. the last like 3 chapters were super cute and im kinda mad it wasn’t completely awful so i couldn’t hate this entire experience. i dont even want to discuss the emotional and physical abuse of the leads in the beginning. somehow that wasnt the worst of it? like damn congrats you really accomplished something when the toxic relationship pales in comparison to the rest of the story. AND THE CHEATING??? WHAT THE FUCK??? like youre telling me the best you could come up with was basically fucking the person that kidnapped and assaulted your lover in front of them? BRO CALL THE COPS. LIKE WHAT??? dont ask me why i continued to read it if it was so bad—i physically cannot not finish stuff i started. and yes i spent my time complaining in the comments because im so angry and have to let off some sort of steam.
honestly the only thing i was really disappointed with was sica losing her demon side. i feel like she spent so much time trying to accept it and accept all of herself. also, her relationship with karsus kinda stemmed from him being the first/only one to accept her as she is? just seemed a little pointless to get rid of her other side after all that. all in all though, i really loved it
