so mc isn't actually dead (shocker), she went to visit an orphanage she sponsored and got sick so she stayed there. her maid was sent on ahead, decided to impersonate her during that time so she was the one actually killed and who's body was recovered. MC didn't even know she's been declared as dead. MC had a fever for about 5 days (which is about the time frame of the story) where everyone gets what they deserve during that time.
ML SPOILER: his name is Aslan who is the prince of a neighbouring kingdom. basically the entire downfall of MCs family and the prince is due to his hardworking behind the scenes. ML told her (when she was sick) that everyone was doing fine without her and already moved on with life, even though everyone was in shambles lol.
