Two options

1 Huan Wen cried because he felt relief finally saying he's gay and Yuan took his hand imagining how hard it must have been for him.
Or
2 When Yuan asked what kind of boys Huan Wen likes it was a way to confirm he is the one Huan Wen loves, and when Huan Wen described him he actually confirmed that it IS him (reason why his face is covered by the text bubble) and Huan Wen cried because he understood what he was doing and what he was trying to say. As a quiet way to let Huan Wen confess and let him know that he can't reciprocate his feelings without having to say it out loud and letting them be able to carry on their friendship like nothing happened.
