This tried so hard to be cute/fluffy but ended up being just boring. The pace of the stories being so quick didn't give any time to develop feelings for the characters or the plot. It is a pity though, the story of the pet&master and the boy who watched their friends fall in love had potential, the problem was that both plots weren't suited for just one chapter, they should be a whole manga for each one, and the boy who watched his friends fall in love should have a proper ending.
I'm just so tired of Soojung she's a total bitch, and I can't help but get angrier when I think that she is probably going to get away with everything instead of getting what she deserves. I feel so bad for the chief, I hope he doesn't end up marrying her.
I thought that in some moment she would apologize honestly to Taesoo but she's even using that for her own benefit (telling Taesoo that's she's sorry and want to help him with the job when in reality she's covering her own ass chasing after him because the people at the company put pressure on her to get whoever they were interviewing).
Even though I feel bad for Dong Gyun truth is that he seeked this upon himself (no, I'm not talking about Alex hitting him). Dong Gyun said "you don't think about how I feel" to Alex and that's not true, Alex did think about him when he gave him the chance to be honest about his feelings, Dong Gyun was the one who decided to lie and believe in a relationship that doesn't exist all by himself, he is the one blurring the lines of "just sex friends" that he agreed to, TWICE. He complains that Alex just calls him when he wants to have sex and well... yeah, they are sex friends, that is what a sex friend is for, again he is the one blurring the lines and expecting something when it was left clear that he shouldn't.
Even though he must be feeling awfull it doesn't justify what he did (interrupting the show and almost exposing himself and Alex with all the consequences that could bring), when you bottle up feelings like that usually the outcome is really bad because you take rash decisions and lash out.
Alex still have his own fault in all this. 1. he choose a sex friend with someone he know he adore him! and he took care of him while he was drank! that not what people that not in love DO! so Alex know, he just choose to ignore it. throwing the blame over to DG that clearly could admit he love someone that will leave him. it was crual of him to even ASK!!
2. Alex got super possessive or jealous over DG, what again gave DG faulse hopes he love him somehow. what again is Alex fault! and of course he rape him for it and then go with him for a date! if he really care that much, he should have break it off by himself, since the control was all his, a long time ago!
3. sex friends have much respect with each other then how Alex ever treat DG!!! ever!!! so yeas, they never really was a real sex friends.
First of all: I did this topic only with my opinion of Dong Hyun.
1. Remember that the character doesn't "see" everything we see as readers, so even if for us is totally obvious that DG is in love with Alex is not the same for him, sure DG's behavior would make anyone suspect that he is in love with Alex, but there is a gap to go from suspecting to be totally sure and the only way to be totally sure about someone else's feelings is to listen to the person himself say it out loud, so even if Alex suspected that DG could have feelings for him he still needed to make sure by listening to DG himself so that's why him and anyone who decided to take the right decision would do in that situation is to ask, so he did, it wasn't cruel of him it was mature and right of him to ask, and even having the other person giving him the perfect oportunity to come out clean DG decided to keep puting himself in that hopeless relationship. People are not the ones to blame if you decide to put yourself in hopeless relationships, they are not the bad ones for not reciprocating your feelings.
2. Yeah getting possesive over DG that could lead him to having a little bit of hope was he's mistake but he made things clear again by remembering DG that he is not interested in a lover. The date is not Alex's fault, DG was the one asking for it and in the situation he used to ask, it was obvious Alex would agree (that is exactly why DG asked, in any other scenario Alex would reject him right away).
3. I don't understand very well what you tried to say in this one. Sorry.
1. read the first and second chapter, DG admit to Alex from the very start that he admire him without known it was Alex. so no, and if someone taking care of you while you drank all night, YEAS they love you! it only COMMON SENSE! so no, stop justify Alex crap saying he didn't know! he did know, he sew how DG was in their "date" he fucking know! but choose to ignore it! he didn't need to make sure anything, his actions speak louder then words! of course DG won't say anything, known the person he love will LEAVE him if he admit it! that what Alex did to make sure he won't say anything.
2. geez really? I thought you going to justify that too. no he did a mistake by staying and keep living in deny of the fact that he did LOVE DG! while saying he didn't want relationship. if he really didn't want a real "Relationship" he should have cut it off when he sew he felt possesive cause no, that not how you act to someone you don't care about! it is Alex fault cause he fucking RAPE HIM over jealousy he had no right to even have!! and taking his anger on DG. and no Alex could have say no and break it off from there but he choose not too. again he only care about himself and not DG feelings!
3. friends don't treat each other like crap or slave like Alex did to DG. to have sex take two not one. simple has that. so they never act like "sex friends" ever ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
The developement of the story is great, is so funny and even tough theres a complicated plot there's not and excess of drama.
The characters are well developed and lovable, and everyone ends up having what they deserve witch makes everything a lot more fullfilling.
The ending gives you a great feeling of hope. I just love it!
Alex is an asshole but for how things are going now he is the one taking the good decisions. He was honest about the kind of relationship he wanted from the start, DG agreed, Alex noticed DG's feeling and gave him a chance to be honest and save himself from a lot of pain, DG rejected that oportunity and that's not Alex's fault. If DG wants to keep pushing his luck with this relationship he has to be aware that is not going to be easy and is going to be really painful, and even with all that the outcome could not be what he is hoping for.
Chanwoo is such a good friend.
I like the chief a lot but Soojung is just so shady, I hope she falls in love with another person and the chief could be happy with someone else too. Even if she had difficult past that's no excuse to do what she did to Taesoo (because obviously she is the ex-girlfriend), you can't use pity has an excuse for the way you behave and the choices you make. Maybe I sound harsh but I say this from experience.
Wow you people must have never been in her shoes to judge her so harshly. Watching a loved one bedridden/ taking care of a sick person for a long time is hard, add to that having to spend her hard earned money on a seemingly already dying father for a long time, any normal person would feel they way she felt in this chapter no matter how fleetingly.
Actually I have personally seen and known people in her exact situation and unlike her they actually value and love their sick/dying parent even if they are having to spend their "hard earned money" because they aren't immature, materialistic brats who don't know how to show respect towards someone who gave them everything and raised them their whole lives. So no, I don't sympathize with her at all and no, no "normal" person would feel the same way as her.
You probably live in a bubble where all families are happy, parents are nurturing and children are dutiful. You see those people who take care of their sick parents ant think you know how they feel because hey everything is as it seems, right? You have no idea how tiring it truly is. And maybe the few people that you know have never been once resentful (not even slightly) at having to spend time, energy and money on their sick parents. And if that's true it's a good thing then. I still think Soojong isn't wrong for saying what she said. She isn't actively trying to kill her father. She's just tired and frustrated.
I agree that not everyone has idealistic parents and would not have the same view as the people I have mentioned but I do understand how "tiring it truly is" because I was by my mother's side the entire time she was with my sick grandmother, that was dying from colon cancer, and stayed with her in the hospital days on end having to sleep on a thin, pull-out mattress. I do see how one can maybe grow resentful towards their parents for holding them back from thriving and putting certain restriction on them but I do not agree with your previous statement that "any normal person" would feel the same way as her because then you are generalizing a whole population of people to a single selfish reaction to taking care of a dying family member.
And no, I do not "live in a bubble" where I think that all families are loving and wholesome; both of my parents grew up in impoverishment with torn apparent families and fathers who either completely abandoned them or mistreated them. But as they have aged and matured, as adults, they have learned to let that resentment go and have grown to forgive them because that deep hidden spite would, in the long run, only end up hurting them the most.
You forgot that I said no matter how fleetingly after the words any normal person would feel that way. It's not only about the person doing the caretaking. It's also about the sick people. They're tired too with medications and tubes and feeling sick. Some sick people want to just die instead of being sick for a long time. So who the deuce gives the right to their family to force them into hospital beds? But that's a whole other thing. Anyway let's agree to disagree. Our kinds of normal might not be the same.
I just want to clarify that I did not refer to what Soojung says about her father.
I was refering about the way she acted in the past (Taesoo's flashbacks on the situation that lead him to lose his job), and the fact that - at least to me - her approach to the chief was based in a fake personality (she's been deceiving him) and her interest in him was purely based in economic interest (at least since the begining it seemead that way, in one chapter she seems to feels jealous of the way the chief acts with Sooha so maybe she has feelings or is starting to have feelings for him).
I loved every single part of this. The plot is a perfect combination of cute, hot, funny, sexy and endearing, no unnecessary rape or characters acting bitchy just because. And I fucking LOVE the design of the characters, they're all very sexy and cute at the same time, they're perfect. I feel like this author's style is going to be one of my favorites.
Weeeelllll...... About the rape thing.....
