I mean I get that the author might be sad about these illegal uploads. But suicidal? Like I don’t judge, but life is so much harder than some illegal uploads of ur book (I don’t mean to hate on anyone!). She uploaded a webtoon to LEZHIN and she should be prepared for this stuff. If she’s not prepared I think I’ll be happier if she dropped this. :)
Well, it's her/his work, so I'm not surprised. Even if I didn't have depression I would be really sad and angry because I spent hard time making it or something like that :( I think it's even harder to judge if they ill.
seems a part of message got cut off so i’ll restate it here:
I don’t think you guys realize how bad illegal uploads are.. making excuses for websites like these are quite damaging. You say life is much hard than some illegal uploads but contradict yourself in that exact statement. We are literally robbing someone of their money and hard work. Then on top of that people are out rightly being disrespectful to the author because of how they feel. Of course I understand why people use this site, I have a reason as to why i’m here. However we should not normalize people illegally uploading and slowly get people to support authors as they reach a point in where they can safely finically support some of our favorite artist.

Don’t be sorry it’s Fine, I just wanted to say that my point was that if she’s suicidal and can’t keep up with these illegal uploads, maybe go on a hiatus or something? I’m no one to judge but I feel like if she’ll continue she’s going nowhere.
I understand what you're saying, but it isn't that simple. Honestly we have to stop downplaying things. This isn't a side job for the author/artist, this is their actual job, and even if they may have signed up for these risks when uploading, they still need the money, and if everyone is reading your hard work on an illegal site, it isn't hard to see why someone would get upset, especially if they're struggling on what they get on Lezhin alone. I do wish that she would do what is best for her health, but you have to consider that this is not only her way to make money, but also her effort, and to have someone post your stuff illegally can be upsetting, that's why so many authors when finding their comics on here take them down or threaten the site being leaked, like the author of Pian Pian. Along with this we don't know what's she happening in their personal life, this may have been the last straw that really set them off, and it's not that hard to imagine. The life of an artist or creator is already hard, but it's even harder when someone takes your work and you don't receive the proper payment. I understand what you're saying, but I don't believe in it. Yes, the risks may have been there, but they agreed to having their work published, they didn't agree to it being illegally posted and them not receiving the proper recollections. And I'm not a saint, I read on this website too and I'm not pointing fingers, but we have to start taking these things more seriously, especially mental health and the way we treat creators, because honestly I have seen some of the worst treatments already, and I think it's about time people start to understand that they're purpose isn't to please us. And finally, although I already said so much, you can't label their feelings. Of course they would be more than sad. This isn't just someone taking your crayons, this is legitimately illegal activity (prohibited by the law and the publishing site), and it takes away from your earnings, and a lot of the time your mental state, because you put a lot of effort into making something in your line of work, and someone just takes it and gives it out for free. Like I said already way too many times, it's not only their money-- imagine you spent so long writing a book (Ive seen this so many times) and then, after finally getting published and things working out, someone illegally posts your book online for completely free. It's not just a "Oh well.." or "Damn.." feeling, that's someone wrecking your job, taking away your profit, and it ultimately feels like a waste of efforts. We think that a 'few' online readers wouldn't do anything their profits, but it really does. This line of work isn't always the most profiting, even if the efforts needed to push your way into the spotlight, or at least into the line of work, is enormous. So even if we can't change that, or stop reading on illegal sites for whatever reason we may have, we should at least recognize this and keep it in mind. I have so much respect for all the authors and creators out there, and honestly I'm constantly feeling guilty for reaping their efforts and have promised myself to try and pay them all back someday. Anyway, have a nice day, afternoon, or evening and stay safe ! :)

If you have mental illness you don't think straight men
you don't perceive reality like a healthy person
I don’t think you guys realize how bad illegal uploads are..
I mean, i’m sure it’s a shitty feeling knowing people are reading something that takes talent for free.
I wanted to say that I agree to all the answers! The comment was just my opinion and I hope that she’ll get better soon

I see where your coming from but also know that not everyone takes things the same way
