Idk it feels weird, like I can understand she might be worried, but she is denying their relationship, and thinks it's some kind of tv show prank?
While I understand she was kinda rude to ml, but what she did would affect her daughter way more than him.
Thinking that their relationship is a prank, she basically assumes her daughter is not good enough to date someone like ml, and it's fking weird.
Author probably wanted this whole thing to be funny with this TV show joke, but degrading her own daughter is not funny to me at all.
I AGREE WITH YOU!! tbh i worry more for the fl in the situation than the ml (i mean i feel bad for him ofc no one deserves to be treated that way) but like ... fl probably felt so hurt and embarrassed in that situation. if the mother was truly concerned she would ask questions in a different way-- and not make it like a "haha you're pranking me right"... she could have asked ab how they met what made them get together, observe the way the way they interact and realise oh yeah its real its serious and all the worries would go away. but she just... ugh man this chapter was really frustrating.
