Credit to the zeidmaster in the comment, apparently the og artist mentioned they quit doing art for this manhua back in aug 2023 on their fb page. The chapters after that were drawn by another artist from the company/group PXTAR (Which possibly also a different artist from the AI chapters). So its a totally different person making (or, well, generating) the recent chapters. The og artist is HappyLessor on twt if you would like more of their art! (Please keep in mind once again that the og artist mentioned isn't the one making those AI works, so please don't accuse them )
While im glad the og artist quit to do the things they enjoy (vtubing and making more arts, im sad that the story and characters they had created got ruined in the recent chapters. The recent chapters, despite having more detailed background just feels.. Soulless. I much prefer their old simple styles as it also fits the manhua's vibe. Hopefully PXTAR will hire an actual human artist and came back with the normal style after their hiatus because i genuinely liked BD303 and hope to see it continue
Thank you so much for dropping the artist’s English handle!!! I only followed them on FB and Weibo, which had Chinese handles so I had a hard time tracking them down again lol. And I totally agree, I hope this break lets PXTAR seriously consider ditching the AI and actually hiring a competent artist to do the rest of the work justice :’)
No problem at all!! I actually came across their twitter awhile ago from one of their vtuber fanart. Thought their artstyle look familiar, did a lil research and find out they're the og artist of BD303 . And yes! Seeing how fans are also criticizing BD303 AI chapters in BD303 weibo posts comments hopefully made PXTAR realize what was wrong :'
