Given is probably my favourite manga ever. I read it when I was in a very bad place. It helped me to grow and to understand my emotions and my sexuality.
It pisses me off that people who "know" the story only talk about "who's the better character" or "who deserves to go to hell". Kizu's pieces are complex and need to be analyzed thoroughly. Each character is so freaking interesting and human. You can say whatever you want, kizu has successfully created human characters who have qualities, defaults and who are affected by events and music. Some discover love, some have insecurities or lack of self assurance. Some died and some live desperately. Some only live for their passion without ironically living freely...Some are still growing because, at the end of the day, everyone is imperfect and want to improve themselves.
Why do people see no further than the end of one's nose ?
I think it shows another point of view of transgenders that, ironically, is loathed and shut down by the lgbt community.
To me gender/sexuality is a big thing if you paying attention to it. And the barlady kinda explained it. She compared it to hobbies (which create our personality like gender and sexuality in a way).
She explained the "valueness" point of it. And I think she's right. In addition, I invite you to do your own research on gender and sexuality in the society. It's only a social construc after all. And it bring sexism in this world.
Why would you mutilate your body and administrate hormones just because of society who has created this malaise ? (If you can ofc bc of the cost or just bc of some shity laws)
My gosh, I could write a whole book on transgender. I don't really know how to explain myself bc I struggle to with my identity.
But anyway, I do think this manga is truthful bc of the approach of gender and sex (?).
ANYWAY Come hate me (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
Saliva is not disinfectant dumbass.
