This is the thing with serialization. You're reading a chapter a week, and the artist is one to portray a scene or two per chapter, OF COURSE, it feels slow -- slower than it'd feel if you read everything at once. My advice would be to hold on and read it when it has more chapters or when it's been finished if you're impatient. I felt similarly about Roommates, Never Understand and All About Lust, but they were good stories so I just waited.
You'll get over it. If the author gallops and messes up the pacing because people are complaining that would suck.
