also the actual things that happened (Daniel abs aside :3) is that the prince has declared an interest in her, and his secant (mr purple hair) thinks she’s suspicious and hiding something. This is because those two still don’t know she’s going to die soon and that she has the sickness, because the emperor kept it a secret. We see Daniel and we see he’s worried about his friend and decides it’s better to distance his friend (Herrace our man boob guy) and himself from her. He recognizes the scent of her, so I’m assuming he has the ability to sense near death or something like that? That’s just my assumption. The diary is a magical diary, and thus it can help her make a contract with a spirit. Some spirit reads it and in interest signs a contract with her to protect her and be her spirit helper/guardian. That’s the hawk/eagle and then they (the whatever bird) teases her for being such a fangirl. We end with Daniel and his AMAZING ABS.
