Actually I sympathized. My average art suddenly turned horrible when I tried to use it, and now it's collecting dust on a shelf.
Digital skills is different from analogue skills. One can see that clearly just within the manga community. For some reason, I can instantly spot a digital only manga artist who didnt receive formal training. Its hard to explain, but most of the times, the drawings would have terrible body proportions, extremely unrealistic body movements, very poor action sequences or terrible visual phrasing.
I also cant draw digitally for some reason, even though putting my pen to the paper seems fine, it doesnt translate digitally. No matter how high the dpi is, I feel there is a gap between the mind-machine interface. Its like playing touch games on your phones, one would occasionally touch objects that you didnt mean to, and then fail the game.
Drawing digital is fun! Nowadays, there are tablets where it comes with a screen. Easier to erase and draw with layers. Traditional is great too but I find myself getting nervous nowadays when I make mistakes plus I don't have all the colour palettes I want to use. I'm fine with sketch on paper > transferred digitally.
It was so hard at the first attempt and I felt like Nozaki-kun right there lmao, but it gets easier with time and practice! So don't give up like him is all I'll say
