You know, it really urks me to see how women are so disrespected every time they try to do something I'm reading a book that is set in the 1500's and a character had to have her wedding called off because her queen wanted her to seduce a different man for information. The girl finds out days later that the person she was supposed to be married to is in love with another person, and that wouldn't have been a problem for her if he hadn't blatantly flirted with the other girl (who is a maid servant to the queen) at a party behind the curtains. The girl finds them basically rubbing up on each other at the Queens party, and she exposes them , but in a quiet way. Then, come to find out, the Queen KNEW the guy was being unfaithful and has the nerve, along with other people, to turn on the girl and say it was her fault Imma go ahead and say this isnt a PERFECT example of how women were treated so low back then but the fact that they blamed her instead of the man really gets on my nerves
