I hate this too but I feel like it’s different with this story because the author is actually good at writing characters, male or female. I feel like this will be more of an important lesson, considering she represents the village’s homophobia, instead of quick conflict to get the story moving and it’s the most realistic reaction for her to have instead of just blatantly going “Ew gay people ew ew ew”, the author is clearly not trying to get people to hate her, at least not in the long run.
