I really like how the flow goes. However, imo the art is definitely pretty yet lack of emotions(?). Like when they won the gold medal but the spectator's eyes werent brimming with excitement, so as the mother's eyes when receiving call from MC. I know that the MCs werent expressive characters but it was weird to see almost-dead-eyes when the people around them were excited.
But maybe the drawing was trying to put it into the MC's pov where people look less lively/?
Now that im rereading this i just realized another Slam Dunk reference in BL lmaaaoo i guess BL authornims love Slam Dunk (well i feel you authornims i love Rukawa and Sakuragi idiotic dynamic too hahahaha)
