You're right, Natsuki was ashamed with himself who kept fucking his own friend in his mind. Rejecting him must be his sort of denial about him self, he was afraid of Haruomi view of him.

While Haruomi, obviously he was afraid of another rejection and getting hurt again. So his reason is pretty much understandable. He thought Natsuki felt the same way towards him but it turned out wrong, he might not have the same confident about himself now .

So the key here is probably their own fear. Not sure how their relationship is going to bloom but I think this is going to be my new favorite. And the sex is totally hot, no kidding.
