This does have a novel (idk where to find it, I only see reviews of the novel) but a blogger said the genre changes in the middle... this might be one of those crazy plots that are almost incoherent lol but director yoon is an interesting ML for sure.
Director Yoon is definitely endgame. I wonder how old he is... Def an age gap because MC knew him when he was just a kid.
FL is not dumb. In chapter 17, she even made a comeback at Hoover (who is so interesting btw please I wanna know more about him) saying Isaac made a move on her first. Which is true. Anyways, clearly FL knows this relationship isn't meant to be bc we see her in the first chapter running away. She knows.
cool premise but watered down by lazy writing. >MC can't tell her dad the truth bc uhhh magic!
Like author u seriously can't come up with a good reason? Lol. Don't even get me started on the ex MLs and the white lotus. We've seen brainwashing trope a million times over and over again. It's insane how no FL ever catches on. IF YOU READ ROFAN, YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE BRAINWASHING TROPE BY NOW...
this fr feels like a parody. the man literally kills the orphanage director in front of the kids then leaves (?????????). this is the type of story that transmigrators are forced into where everyone loves the FL, she seems like a Mary Sue with the amount of overwhelming support she gets. Its really weird that all the characters love her when she doesnt know why and is scared, and they all wanna help her overcome her trauma but it seems like something she has to come to terms with herself first (and yet all the characters wanna get involved to "help" her). The "villainess" seems semi nuanced but I wouldn't be surprised if the author just made her the bitter ex trope without any more character. Like wtf am I reading lmao....
I think it's so weird that they also just automatically try to help her trauma.
The author didn't even bother explaining why these characters are supporting her. Literally just a few panels of the ML talking to his staff about her arrival and what to expect would have been so much better than what we have currently LOL.
I'm so here with you, I had hope but this is just not it. None of it is making any sense
The story is a little intriguing ngl. Red flags aside, hearing the MC talk about his backstory even briefly made me feel bad for him. I know he's mentally unwell but I feel like from subtext it's basically implied that he doesn't try to escape because he doesn't know how good he could have it, having been born in such a miserable place. His obsession is all he can use to ignore how horrible his life is, and despite all that, he still cares for his useless parents... anyway I'm curious to see how his character could possibly develop. It FEELS like you can only go up from there, but it's not like what the ML is offering him could be remotely interpreted as salvation... So what, then?
This already has a better translation on DLsite but behind a paywall.
