Hello, long time (and unhinged) fan of this novel. So the author just released a new side story to celebrate the release of the manhwa adaptation. And it is legit one of the most crack things I've ever read.
Our main couple is watching a documentary featuring baby squirrels when Seo Euiwoo is like 'omg... what if we had a baby?' But ofc Jaejin is like 'ummmm you're not going to do something weird, are you? And Euiwoo is like 'oh, dw, u don't have to do anything' and then proceeds to make a de-aged clone baby of himself. HUH????????????
AND KWON JAEJIN IS JUSTIFIABLY FREAKING OUT!!! And he's telling Euiwoo to re-merge it back and then it turns out he can't because the baby needs to consent to being merged back

My comment got cut off but it's not meant to be permanent. The author didn't want them to have to take care of a real child for the rest of their lives so they came up with a scenario where they could take care of a baby without having to "keep" one.
It's sooooo weird though. Like I'm a freak but I got a limit too yknow yknow. What ends up happening is that they have domestic moments and the baby calls Jaejin "mama" which is like okay standard stuff but then the clone baby remerges back to Euiwoo in the end and deadass the dude is like "i kept all the memories of that baby so it's basically like my bad childhood got overwritten bc of u" and I'm like holup author... nah im sorry I can't match ur freak cause idk about all that LOLLLLL

In the novel, they definitely aimed for (real) Abel but in the manhwa, Abel jumped for the faker. Interesting change...

For useless context of the day, John actually drew a promo for this webnovel over a year ago, but it seems he decided to pass the project onto someone else. It's a shame because his art style is good and it makes sense for the author to visualize the story as well.
After some digging on his twt, he seems to be working on the side stories for Yona and Chang-il. Maybe he has a favorite child among his stories, lmao.
