I love the details throughout the entirety of this story, from beginning to end. Melissa proposing to Nine is a detail that fits their dynamic so much more. One particular detail that made me ache (though was quite satisfying) was seeing our silly little crown prince become a reasonable king who fell for our astounding Melissa. His expressions when in her presence and his face when looking at the wedding invitation say so much about how he came to realize her worth but faarrr too late.
