It was rude and I do agree that the author should have chosen a less important topic than proposal for the fetish scene but tbh Lyle is incapable of speaking his mind and is bound by the idea that his true feelings won’t be accepted by conservative standards. He probably enjoyed the fetish part but hated that his image of what his proposal *should* be was destroyed. I don’t think he hated the sex and I don’t think he hated the fetish. My ex was similar to Lyle. You had to push him into new situations otherwise he wouldn’t try them for fear of rejection. I am also the same. I have anxiety and agoraphobia so I need to be forced outside/ to socialise. Not everyone can work up courage organically. So although I agree that you shouldn’t force your partner to speak their mind when it’s about something important, you should aid your partner where they are lacking aka you should push your partner towards something your partner also wants to do but lacks courage for (for Lyle, this is about speaking up and expressing his feelings more). I’d argue this is still a healthy relationship.

Also I forgot to mention it but ash gave lyle chances to come clean prior to all of this. Lyle at any point in time could have said “ash I will tell you but can we do this at home? I want to tell you in private just between the two of us.” And ash would have accepted that. Lyle resisted and went with door number 2 so technically he chose this path himself. He wasn’t forced down it.

This is how ash and lyle have always been, they have two very different dynamics and this story has addressed that. Lyle internalized his thoughts ash can’t read his mind and yes ash is pushy but we know karlyle can speak his mind when he really wants too and he did when it came down to it, these side stories are silly I admit that or at least this part of it but we see in ashs rut what he’s like and karlyle enjoys him, they had a safeword he didn’t force karlyle to do anything karlyle is just stupidly avoidant sometimes cause that’s how he was raised and is his “flaw” but he’s obviously worked on it a lot since being with ash their dynamic is not ruined by any means it’s been like this since the beginning and I don’t think ash fr has this kind of fetish they were experimenting and he was teasing katlyle per usual after their argument. You’re entitled to not like it but read between the lines. The second ash got a clue that karlyle was being avoidant and not actually wanting to continue he stopped he apologized and comforted him and karlyle took the initiative to keep going. Karlyle is still adjusting to being open with his feelings and ash has always been blunt and straightforward he doesn’t sugar coat things they are dynamic opposites that’s the whole point of their characters and part of the reason why they work so well together. I’ve read past these parts in the raws they are sickeningly sweet to one another and if you want more depth to their relationship I suggest reading the novel cause this can only convey so much

Exactly! They found a system that works for them! Also if ash was interested in forcing Lyle at all, it would have been in the rut arc. He treated Lyle preciously even during the rut arc so obviously he doesn’t enjoy forcing Lyle to do things he doesn’t like. If lyle had wanted to stop at any point in time or the tears stopped being from embarrassment and was from discomfort or unease, ash would have stopped and he did. Not only did he stop but he removed all toys from lyles body and made sure to give him after care. He did a perfect job of supporting his partner.

What do you mean he ‘don’t know a thing’ he is arguably just as bad as Raon because he still ordered people to attack mc’s village and his own people. They are both bad if this theory is true. He was literally talking about the attack and of the Imae, he knows everything, maybe not the poison thing though. But I have a feeling he might be immune to the poison in some way. I rlly hope it’s not like that though bc he needs some consequence for his actions.
