The first anime that made me want to know more about animation and manga is Card Captor Sakura. I remember watching it on M6 (a french tv channel). At the time, there were old anime on tv like Candy Candy, Sailor Moon, Captain Harlock and The Mysterious Cities of Gold but none made me sit every week in front of the tv.
