an older one but usagi drop for Sure spoilers but tbh read the spoilers, dont go into this series blind its about a 30yo guy who starts raising his grandpa's 6yo daughter after the grandpa died and it ends with them becoming a couple she even specifically says she wants to have a child with him bc he will raise the child to be happy just like he ra......

so ok i like this series and i like the main pairing, i think they have good chemistry
and in the pantheon of step-sibling pairings this might be the Least Bad one i've ever seen?
like, they didn't grow up together, since the ML went off to the academy shortly after the FL started inhabiting this body, and they never regarded each other as siblings
(him bc he didnt trust anyone, and her bc she wasn't from this universe)
he also apparently only became interested in her after the death of the family, when they were already older, and they only started really interacting with each other in their late teens/ early 20s
i also understand that for this specific set up, they would have to be step-relatives of some sort, or the whole succession plot wouldn't happen
THAT ALL BEING SAID
i still feel kinda uncomfortable with the fact the original characters were step-siblings idk
most of the time the story is Fine and it doesn't bother me much, but sometimes they bring up like 'oh yeah he's my little brother' and i'm like hm. don't like that.
it's a sweet webtoon overall and it's not enough to put me off from reading it but idk
as someone who grew up with step-siblings it annoys me how prevalent step-sibling ships are in romances

brilly brilly asked a question

i was talking to a friend abt tropes and i started wondering what other ppl thought abt this. what's ur favorite trope that isn't related to romance and relationships? mine is when a character is afraid of animals but animals love them and try to approach them anw lol

tbh yeah like, you're allowed to read yaoi and enjoy it, idc what you personally do with your life. it's just Really frustrating that all discussions of mlm sexuality around here are led by people who aren't mlm and often by people who won't even consider mlm voices if it doesn't agree with what they already believe i read shoujo and yuri manga som......
