He's not actually in love as far as I've seen till the latest chapter (52), like he mentioned in one chapter he just wanted to be in full-control of something in their house like his father did to him, so he was trying to control his half-brother.
Looking at the latest chapters showing the full scenes of the past- the brother cried over him. I doubt it was only wanting to be in control for him to cry in front of him
