Well TJ and Shino are so hoooot I love them so much, just looking at their chemistry and how they thought of each other can make me melt. Wish there were a sequel about them! However, I wonder if I could re-read it some time like I always do with other favorite mangas of mine. My heart was hurt so bad.
Shiki and Mitarai are the reason.
I visited this link and read the full manga after reading the oneshot only about TJ and Shino, and I didn't think that I would pay much attention to other characters in the manga. But seeing Keigo falling desperately in love, I couldn't help adoring him. While reading the first chapter, I even asked myself if there're a chance Shiki would be the seme, but then I thought nothing matters as long as Keigo's loved. He deserved to be treated better, and to be loved sincerely.
Not with that kind of love Shiki had for him. That just crushed my heart.
Shiki, if I have to call him something. I would just call him a slut. I don't care about this being call slut-shaming someone 'cause to me he's a true slut. When I found out that he called himself a bi but despised Keigo for being gay at first and for falling in love with him, I felt it quite questionable. Then when he slept with Shino, I was like "something wrong with this guy? Show some loyalty dude, you even called Keigo your boyfriend!" Then when Mitarai joined, I felt betrayed. And at that time I thought saying he's busy and couldn't make time to meet Keigo (for months, god) was so ridiculous when he frequented Mitarai's house (AND EVEN TALKED ABOUT GOING ON A TRIP WITH HIM!)
If you think Keigo's not a suitable lover for you to have when you already have that kind of job, just reject him at once (especially before starting your relationship with your understanding Mitarai), don't go see him so many times like that, don't give him hope then ignore his calls, don't cheat on him!
And Mitarai, when he appeared I thought he might be some interesting guy, a good support for the main couple or something, but well, TJ was right for wanting Shino to avoid him. He hit on everyone, huh? Mitarai's a good soldier, but when it comes to his personality, a total jerk I'd say. He knew too well that Shiki was going out with someone else right in the beginning, but he just ignored that fact, then slept with him?
Somebody might say Mitarai's not at fault, but he just jumped right in some people's relationship, even if that relationship's delicate in the first place his action still can't be justified!
Though I hated Mitarai, but when he died, I was irritated a lot. That's unfair for him, too. It looked like the author just got carried away while drawing the manga, then she didn't know how to make it end like in Keigo's story, so she decided to get rid of the third guy to make the others live together happily ever after. Didn't that sound like some weird romantic drama when the heroine immediately went out with the other guy just because her lover (male protagonist) died in the end?
And it's obvious that Shiki was only really in love with Mitarai and he was even going to date him seriously. After he recovered from his lover's death, Keigo was what's left so he decided to go for him. Haha, in Keigo's story there was Shiki saying "I want to tell you I have always loved you" or something right?
I think you liked him, but I don't think it's love in the end, it's your pity for him, and your loneliness that made you come to him.
I felt so sorry for Keigo since he didn't know anything at all, not Shiki's name but his twotiming. He just innocently loved.
Sorry again for my bad temper, and my English, too :( I just need to do something about the feelings I have for this manga now.
(a little longer and this comment would look like my college application essay...)
Just a little moreeee
Let them look at each other's face properly ╥﹏╥
