When I was reading one of the latest chapters, the translator said that the author's contract with the publisher ended and there's a possibility that the series would be stopped, so I seriously regretted reading it since it will be unfinished but now, I'm feeling excited for the continuation of the story. I believe this information is incorrect. I checked her Weibo and afaik, she's working on something entirely new. She might have lost all rights to ChoukaKou to her previous publisher so we're not sure if this will continue.

This is one of the possible routes for long series. Anything can happens anytime, and that breaks my heart to know that I have followed this beautiful story for so long just to know it is currently dropped.

I just read from fan account, that sensei can't wait to end her contract with Summerzoo in September. And she really want to draw again and the hiatus killing her. So don't lose hope, and wait for sensei to start draw again.

Omg I couldn't agree more I had the same feeling... Like okay you rejected him for years, made hit think you resented him, and than ran away in the end... all cause you wanted to uphold some standard of a nobleman and servant relationship without any self-sacrifice, and because he might he to give it away to be with you... yet you only accept him in the end after he threw everything away... I really wanted Arthur to give up on him, I'm glad he was happy in the end, but the idea that he had to chase and sacrifice everything for a person who wouldn't do the same for him pissed me off... I'm rambling but I had really strong feelings about this one... even when Carel stated Arthur was taking everything from him, like uh he was been tryna leave Arthur he was only there because Arthur begged him to be, and he eventually got frustrated and let him go, that hurt Arthur more than anyone... Ultimately it was a good read but I see why it's a 8.2... I really did pity Arthur in the end he deserved so much more than Laurent...
If the story ended when the use left, it'd be unsatisfactory, but this even makes me feel more irritated when the relationship is so one-sided like this
